    The Authentic Campaigner - We
recommend this forum for discussions about
period photos, drill, tactics, etc.  Their Used
Gear For Sale is excellent.  Check with Ken
Cornett at kencornett@msn.com if you have
questions about vendors, etc.

    Common Ground Forum - Administered
by our very own Ken Cornett, this forum
maintains discussions about a wide range of
events, topics and is entirely reenactor-related.
Ken has moved the Common Ground to its own
location, independent of Camp Chase.

Off Topic Boys - This forum is about
a lot of things, and, yes, sometimes reenacting.
It is probably the most brutally-honest forum
about reenacting out there.  If you offend easily,
you might not want to venture in here.  It has
one of the best authentic event listings available.
The Watchdog - "Since 1993, The Watchdog has been evaluating reproduction items and resources available to Civil War enactors and role-players. The staff and contributors (knowledgeable and experienced in the study of nineteenth-century material culture) evaluate and review products currently available from merchants and suppliers. The Watchdog provides accurate, comprehensive information that allows enactors to be educated consumers of reproduction goods. Published quarterly, The Watchdog provides up-to-date research about uniforms, civilian clothing, camp equipment, weapons, accoutrements, reference books, video tapes, etc. You can trust The Watchdog to give you the most current information!"
The Civil War Historian - If you subscribe to any reenactor publication, we recommend this one.  It is edited by Nicky Hughes, "Civil War Historian magazine was founded to promote knowledge of Civil War-era life in America. Civil War Historian accomplishes its goal by producing a high-quality publication that supports those who reenact the lives of Americans who lived in this era. The nature of the publication is both informative and entertaining. Civil War Historian contains after-action reports of reenactments, reprints of period publications, and historical research articles, all of which are supported by exceptional color images and artistic page design. Eric Tipton has written several articles for the Historian including an upcoming article that he co-wrote about the Shiloh 2007 event.
